How to ship your flowers

How to ship your flowers:
If you can’t bring your flowers to our Brisbane studio in person, you can mail them to us instead.
Here are some important things to know before mailing your flowers:
When you book, choose the drop-off date as the day your flowers will arrive at our studio, not the day you send them. For example, if you mail them on the 24th and they arrive on the 25th, select the 25th as your drop-off date. We suggest using Australia EXPRESS Post for next-day delivery because it’s reliable and affordable. You can pick either safe drop-off or sign-on-delivery. Just keep in mind that with sign-on-delivery, couriers might leave before you answer the door, which could delay collection by a day if we need to pick up your package from the post office.
Shipping costs can range from about $40 to $230, depending on the size of your flowers. If you choose to mail your flowers, please email us after you book so we can keep an eye on your delivery. It’s also helpful if you send us the tracking details once you’ve posted your flowers. Please remember, customers are responsible for shipping costs. If you want to avoid these fees, you’re welcome to drop off your flowers at our Everton Park, Brisbane location.
  1. Re-hydrate your flowers:
To keep your flowers fresh before mailing, trim the stems and put them in a vase of water. If you can, store them somewhere cool, like a fridge, to help the blooms stay lively. You can add a tablespoon of Sprite and 2 to 3 drops of bleach for every 500ml of water. The Sprite helps keep the flowers fresh, and the bleach kills bacteria. Don’t use more than 3 drops of bleach per 500ml, as too much can damage the flowers. For extra freshness during shipping, try using water tubes, which you can find online or at your florist. Fill each tube with fresh water and place one stem in each.

  2. Prepare the packaging materials:
Find a box that is approximately 1.5 times larger than your flowers. Fill the box with shredded paper, tissue paper even car sponge’s work great. It's essential not to wrap them in plastic, like bubble wrap as this can cause the flowers to sweat, leading to wilting, discolouration and even mould.

  3. Pack flowers for shipping:
If possible, it is recommended to ship the bouquet upright in the box instead of on its side. The best way to do this is by placing a smaller box or even a plastic jug/ cup inside the shipping box. Use packing material around the small box or cup to ensure it will not move during shipping, then place the stems of the bouquet in the small box. Once the bouquet is in place, you can fill the rest of the space around the flowers with more packing material to prevent the flowers from moving around too much in transportation.   If you do have some more delicate flowers in your bouquet that you want to provide extra protection to, you can always wrap a tissue around the outside of them, as shown in the photo.

    Don’t forget to:
Fill the remaining space: Fill any empty spaces in the box with more grocery bags or tissue paper to secure the flowers in place and prevent shifting.

Write your order number and name on the box.

On the outside of the box, draw arrows to indicate the top and label the box as fragile.

If you have any keepsakes to include, place them in a bag and tape them to a paper with your name, phone number, and email address.

Send tracking number via email to us.
